Electrical Project Manager Qualifications:
- 2+ years of progressive experience in electrical project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects of varying scales and complexities.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and installation methods.
- In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant electrical standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, Procore, etc.) and electrical design/CAD software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Solid financial acumen and experience with budget management.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Electrical Project Manager Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive project plans specific to electrical systems, including scope, objectives, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Define project goals and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, considering electrical codes and standards.
- Lead and motivate project teams, including electrical superintendents, foremen, electricians, subcontractors, and other site personnel.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
- Monitor electrical project costs and financial performance against budget.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for electrical installations, ensuring critical milestones are met.
- Ensure all electrical work adheres to project specifications, industry standards (e.g., NEC), and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, general contractors, and other key stakeholders regarding electrical aspects.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on all project sites, with particular emphasis on electrical safety protocols (e.g., LOTO, arc flash).
- Prepare and present regular project reports, including progress, financial status, and forecasts, with an emphasis on electrical scope.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including permits, electrical drawings, specifications, and correspondence.
