SAM Project Manager

Highlight is seeking a Project Manager to lead our SAM solution integration supporting a government customer in Lansing, MI.

Join our team as a Project Manager leading a dynamic, high‑impact initiative to modernize software asset management (SAM) for a major state government. This multi‑year contract entails deploying a best‑in‑class, contractor‑hosted SaaS SAM platform, replacing legacy on‑premise systems, and empowering the State to achieve comprehensive, real‑time control over its enterprise software assets.

• Oversee software license management and calculate license consumption.
• Oversee the reconciliation of enterprise software tools and integration of SAM solution.
• Manage lifecycle of cloud and non‑cloud based software and licenses on org‑managed devices.
• Manage optimization of automated discovery, inventory, reconciliation and reporting for cloud and non‑cloud‑based licenses (commercial, free, open‑source, closed‑source).
• Analyze software type products used on programming, and utility software, including visibility into complex on‑premises and SaaS licensing that is increasingly run on a combination of physical and epistemic infrastructure.
• Manage team to provide professional services to implement the solution, migrate existing data, integrate to other systems, configure the solution, and test and train users.

• Bachelor’s degree
• 10 years experience in software project management
• US citizenship
