As the Senior Manager, Vehicle Auction Operations for the US, you will be a key leader in Ford’s Go‑To‑Market organization, orchestrating the strategic planning and operational execution for the remarketing of all Ford Motor Company and Ford Credit used vehicle assets across North America.
Responsibilities Strategic Remarketing & Asset Optimization- Maximize Asset Value:
Lead the development and execution of a best‑in‑class remarketing strategy to maximize residual values through physical and digital auction channels. - Operational Efficiency:
Drive the velocity of cash by aggressively managing days to turn, reducing carrying costs, and optimizing logistics of used vehicle inventory. - Innovation Leadership:
Ensure Ford remains at the forefront of the remarketing industry by identifying and implementing cutting‑edge digital innovations and channel strategies. - Cross‑Functional Synergy:
Collaborate across the enterprise—including Ford Credit, Ford Blue, Ford Pro, and Model e—to support diverse business units (RAV, DVO, ARS) in achieving their remarketing objectives. - Vendor & Partner Orchestration:
Manage high‑level relationships with external partners, including auction houses (Manheim, Independents), transportation providers, and reconditioning vendors.
- Ford Blue Advantage (FBA):
Operationalize and enhance Ford’s certified pre‑owned program, driving program growth through operational changes that improve the experience for Dealers and customers. - Pre‑Certification Growth:
Lead initiatives like “Express Check” to increase pre‑certification volume and support Ford’s used vehicle retail goals. - Customer
Experience:
Act as a key interface for our Dealer network, ensuring they receive superior service and the inventory needed to drive their retail business.
- Team Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team, fostering a culture of adaptability, continuous improvement, and inclusion aligned with Ford+ behaviors. - Integrity & Compliance:
Oversee complex budgets and financial recoveries with the highest integrity, ensuring absolute compliance with GAO, S‑Ox, and internal audit (MCRP) requirements. - Change Management:
Create and deliver robust communication and training plans to navigate organizational transitions and process improvements with minimal disruption.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
- 10+ years of professional experience in automotive operations, remarketing, financial services, or large‑scale logistics.
- Travel 30% to 40% to auction partner locations across North America.
- Advanced Degree: MBA or equivalent Master’s degree.
- Industry Expertise:
Deep knowledge of the vehicle remarketing ecosystem, Ford Credit operations, or the auction business. - Process Excellence:
Proven experience with Lean Management or 6‑Sigma methodologies to drive waste elimination. - Leadership Track Record:
Demonstrated ability to lead large, complex teams and manage multi‑million‑dollar budgets. - Strategic Communication:
Exceptional interpersonal and engagement skills, with the ability to influence executive leadership and external business partners. - Mobility:

This position is leadership level 5 and ranges from $141,700 to $268,300.
