Salary Range: $90,000 - $137,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Lansing that are seeking skilled Facilities Managers. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment and facilities.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Manage facility budgets, including forecasting, expense tracking, and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors for specialized services and projects.
• Optimize space utilization and facility layouts to support production efficiency.
• Lead facility-related continuous improvement initiatives and capital projects.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in facilities management, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience managing budgets, contractors, and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), safety regulations, and maintenance best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and manage preventative maintenance programs.
• Experience with CMMS software and other facilities management technologies.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMMS implementation and optimization.
• Knowledge of sustainable building practices and energy management systems.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles as they apply to facilities management.
• Certifications such as FMP, CFM, or relevant trade licenses.
