Shop Manager | Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $86,000 - $132,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Lansing that are seeking Shop Managers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production schedules and resource allocation.
• Manage and mentor shop floor personnel, including performance reviews and training.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards across all operations.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material procurement with supply chain.
• Implement and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with engineering and product development teams on new product introductions.
• Maintain equipment and machinery through preventative maintenance programs.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing shop environment
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role
• Proven ability to manage and optimize production schedules
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and safety regulations
• Experience with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
