Position Summary

This position leads recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and development of associates, ensuring staffing meets business needs while fostering a culture of belonging, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit and develop qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.
  • Coordinate and oversee job-related activities and assignments, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Support plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identify and communicate goals and objectives.
  • Build accountability and measure progress in achieving results; identify and address improvement opportunities.
  • Promote continuous learning and adaptability throughout the team.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates: hire, train, mentor, assign duties, recognize accomplishments, and promote a belonging mindset.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, mission, values, and ethical standards; implement action plans and support the Open Door Policy.
  • Build high-performing teams, embrace differences, and create a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected.
  • Work collaboratively, build strong relationships, and communicate with impact, energy, and positivity.
  • Attract and retain top talent, empower and develop associates, and recognize contributions.
  • Act with integrity, maintaining the highest standards of ethics and compliance and modeling Walmart values.
  • Support regenerative initiatives and a positive impact on associates, customers, members, and the community.
  • Serve customers and members by delivering results, adapting to shopping patterns, and applying EDLP and EDLC models.
  • Make data-driven decisions, balance short- and long-term priorities, and consider all stakeholder groups.
  • Strive for excellence by fostering curiosity, calculated risk-taking, courage, resilience, and learning from mistakes.
  • Drive continuous improvement, adopt new technologies, and support others through change.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Two years of college OR one year of retail experience and one year of supervisory experience OR two years of general work experience and one year of supervisory experience.
  • For facilities that sell firearms: successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
  • For facilities that sell ammunition and have state-specific requirements: a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.
  • Must attend and complete all job-required training and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • Experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Salary and Compensation

Annual salary range: $65,000.00 – $. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation may include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) based on location and a complex structure based on external factors that create challenges.
