This position serves as a unit manager for the Budget & Administrative Unit. The primary responsibility of this position is the daily management of accounting for all state and federal appropriations, the assessment and development of business practices for internal and external stakeholders. This position manages fiscal audit functions for statutorily mandated funding distributions. The person in this position manages the review and approval process for all Commission grants.
In addition, this person manages and monitors internal and external communication to include web content, user guides, newsletters, print and broadcast media articles and inquiries. The manager of this unit establishes priorities, assigns tasks, and manages all resources necessary to carry out the functions and responsibilities of the section. This position supervises several but not limited to, two departmental specialists and four analysts.

Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
Experience
Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
This position requires passing a pre‑employment screening, including passing a drug screen, criminal history background check, and a fingerprint check by the Michigan State Police.
