The Materials Management Division (MMD) is seeking an experienced and motivated leader to serve as Administration Section Manager and Division Budget Liaison. This position oversees a team responsible for critical administrative functions supporting division operations, including budget development and monitoring, accounting, procurement, grant administration, personnel actions, and financial reporting. The Section Manager serves as a member of the Division leadership team, advises the Division Director on financial and operational matters, and coordinates with EGLE Finance Division on legislative appropriations, resource allocation, and budget planning.
The position supervises three direct reports, including a unit supervisor, and plays a key role in ensuring the division has the resources, systems, and support necessary to achieve its mission. This is a fast-paced, high-impact leadership position requiring strong judgment, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while providing excellent customer service to division staff and leadership.
Position Description Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
Experience
Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
Education level typically acquired through completion of high school and two years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 14 level; or, one year of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 15 level, may be substituted for the education and experience requirements.
