Why does this role Matter?

As Common Sail continues to grow through acquisitions and strategic partnerships, we are seeking an experienced Regional Operations Leader to guide newly acquired communities through successful transitions. This role is ideal for a senior living operator who thrives in change management, enjoys building relationships with new teams, and has a passion for transforming communities while preserving what makes them special.

You will serve as the operational leader during the critical first stages of integration, partnering with Executive Directors, regional teams, and corporate leaders to drive cultural alignment, operational excellence, financial performance, and exceptional resident experiences.

What you will be doing
  • Serve as the primary operational leader for newly acquired communities during the first 60 days of transition.
  • Partner with Executive Directors and community leadership teams to assess operational strengths, opportunities, and immediate priorities.
  • Provide hands‑on leadership support in communities experiencing leadership vacancies, operational challenges, or transition‑related disruptions.
  • Evaluate occupancy, staffing, resident satisfaction, financial performance, and clinical outcomes to develop action plans that support long‑term success.
  • Coach and mentor community leaders to ensure successful adoption of Common Sail's operating philosophy and leadership expectations.
  • Collaborate with divisional and regional leaders to ensure seamless transition into permanent operational oversight.
  • Lead change management efforts while maintaining engagement among residents, families, and team members.
  • Support due diligence activities and pre‑acquisition operational assessments when needed.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of multi‑site senior living operations leadership experience.
  • Proven experience with mergers and acquisitions, particularly in the healthcare or senior living industry.
  • Strong knowledge of senior living operations, including healthcare compliance, staffing, and resident care standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to build credibility quickly and lead teams through periods of change.
  • Experience improving occupancy, workforce stability, resident satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Ability to travel weekly to oversee the integration of multiple locations / states.
Work Environment

This position requires travel to various locations for site assessments and integration planning. Flexible work arrangements may be available, but the role demands high availability and adaptability to the needs of the business.
