Vice President, Service Delivery

We are seeking a full-time Vice President to join our Service Delivery team, based in the Southeast region of USA. This position offers flexibility with a telecommuting work arrangement based out of the Southeast region.

Job Overview:

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead all contracted Workplace Well-being's products, i.e. fitness, ergonomics, nutrition, coaching, health promotion and other products/services that may be introduced) at our client locations within designated area and assist the clients in developing wellness solutions that support their overall strategy. In addition, the role will be responsible for meeting revenue and profitability goals;

analyzing and communicating key operating metrics, trends, and areas for development; partnering with Workplace Well-being's corporate, and product leaders to facilitate site support, and meeting annual goals and budgets.

Primary Responsibilities:

Grows the Business:

  • Responsible for assigned book of business' growth in terms of membership, revenue, and margin.
  • Accountable for NBEA by expanding capabilities and revenue across the existing on-site client base.
  • Knowledgeable about Optum and UHC products and services, and integrates on-site offerings with other Optum and UHC products and services where appropriate.

Runs the Business:

  • Assist the client's Wellness leadership in establishing a coherent wellness vision and strategies that will result in improving the preventive health and resilience of the client's employee population.
  • Manages delivery of contracted services and programs utilizing on-site teams, corporate, and product resources.
  • Establishes productive relationships with senior members of client's key stakeholders and vendors (e.g. health services, physical therapy, child care, clinics, food services, facilities, etc.) that result in tightly integrated programs and partnerships that enhance the client's offerings; ensure high impact and coordinated delivery of services
  • Establishes operational and capital budgets, including aggressive ancillary service goals, that allow for efficient operation of best-in-class facilities and impactful and positive changes on participant health
  • Monitors, tracks, forecasts and analyzes data, especially data relative to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), to identify trends, challenges and opportunities; develop metrics that allow for data-driven decisions.
  • Develops concise and detailed quarterly reports that accurately reflect the status of programs, achievement of KPIs; deliver thoughtful recommendations that maximize program impact and that are fiscally responsible.
  • Ensures successful transition from sales to operations of new accounts including management of new launch process to solidify our reputation with new clients and deliver on promises.
  • Oversees invoicing to assigned clients and works with accounting to follow up on payment issues.
  • Knowledgeable of local competition and provide recommendations to maintain competitive advantage.

Leads the Team:

  • Has primary responsibility for full cycle human capital inclusive of hiring, coaching, motivating, training, developing, evaluating, firing and assigning projects and workload to all direct staff.
  • Ensure all on-site staff is integrated into the Company's culture by incorporating the mission, UHG values, and P.R.I.D.E. principles into regular activities.
  • Communicates, advocates and drives key business initiatives from corporate, product or enterprise directives.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, health management, exercise science or a related field
  • Minimum five years of work experience in business or health management
  • Strong financial analysis skills and solid business acumen
  • Strategic thinking skills relative to design and delivery of wellness programming in the corporate environment
  • Demonstrated leadership success; evidence of guiding a team to goal attainment
  • Experience in financial reporting, trend analysis, and communicating at an executive level
  • Effective and engaging public speaking and presentation skills with clients
