TIG welding of stainless steel exhaust systems ranging from 1/8" to 1/2" thick. You will support the automotive (e.g., Ford, Toyota) and heavy-duty industries (e.g., Caterpillar). Duties include production welding of exhaust systems and repair welding for robotic welds that require adjustments. This role focuses on manual welding with occasional responsibilities in operating robotic weld machines, troubleshooting, and training operators.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 90 Day(s).
Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Troy, Michigan.
Work EnvironmentShifts:
1st Shift: Monday - Thursday 6am to 4pm; no overtime currently, but potential for Fridays during busy periods.
Equipment:
Automated tube benders, welder machines, ABB material handling robots, conveyors, Allen Bradley/Siemens/Beckhoff PLC troubleshooting.
Manufacturing of metal exhaust systems for automotive manufacturers. The environment is fast-paced, clean, and some areas may be louder due to machinery.
Dress Code:
Comply with all PPE and safety requirements. Steel-toe shoes are required at all times in the plant. Safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection will be provided.
