V&V Tools Technician

The V&V Tools Technician supports the preparation, assembly, configuration, inventory, and distribution of developed test tools for Ford’s Electric Vehicle & Digital Design organization. The role distributes test tools and systems globally to electrical engineering, verification, and testing teams across Ford, and external development partners.

• Assemble and prepare test environments for deployment.
• Aluminum frame assembly.
• Harness installation.
• Testing & validation.
• Package and ship systems to Ford and non-Ford partners.
• Track distribution using approved processes/tools.
• Maintain operation of tool systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair tool systems.
  • Monitor and maintain virtual service desk.
  • Diagnose, update, and repair non-functional systems.
  • Manage shipping of components to fabricators for upcoming system builds.
  • Maintain inventory and organization of tools lab.

Bachelor’s Degree – Preferred, though applicable knowledge or experience would be acceptable in place of formal education.

• Ability to manage priorities, risks, and issues as they arise.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a group.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Functional understanding of automotive electrical wiring and wiring schematics.

• 2+ years of experience in electrical harness design or fabrication.
• Prior automotive or IT support.
• Experience utilizing JIRA.

• Gain product development V&V systems business acumen.
• Support distribution of Ford future product offerings in leading edge technology to deliver connected features in the vehicle.
• Partner with the business in a high-growth area, In‑Vehicle Infotainment feature development.
