Assembly Technician; Checkout​/Quality

Responsibilities

• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations. Escalate all unsafe conditions so they can be promptly addressed.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor immediately.
• Accurately follow work assignments as required by highly variable daily duties, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical assembly, material handling, standard housekeeping, and safety and quality audits.
• Perform multiple processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies, using hand tools and power pneumatic tooling.
• Read and interpret schematics and drawings, communicating with Engineers as necessary.
• Check inventory of assigned task and area daily. Report potential parts shortages to prevent stock outages to Lead personnel or supervisor.
• Abide by the methods and procedures inherent in the position as directed by management.
• Assist with maintenance on company equipment when necessary.
• May perform occasional welding, machining, finishing, etc. as required, in so far as existing personal capabilities allow.
• Execute safety and facility improvement projects.
• Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.
