Yard Worker

Hillsdale, NY

Full‑time Yard Worker:
Monday – Friday 7 a.m. – 4 p.m., alternate Saturday 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.

• Greet customers in the yard, accept purchased products.
• Review invoice tickets, ensure correct materials.
• Assist customers loading materials into vehicles.
• Direct customers to pickup stations as needed.
• Process invoice tickets appropriately.
• Receive delivery orders and prepare for loading onto delivery vehicles.
• Assist purchasing by verifying orders against vendor paperwork before signing.
• Participate in inventory counts and resolve inventory issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, machines, and equipment.
• Operate powered industrial trucks to load and move materials; complete daily equipment inspection checklist.
• Cover exposed materials to prevent weather damage.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to manager.
• Participate in required training assignments.
• Demonstrate teamwork and effort in all duties.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Lifting or moving items up to 50 lbs frequently, up to 100 lbs occasionally. Manual dexterity required to operate machinery and equipment. Frequent communication with others.

Exposure to outdoor weather, high places, fumes, moving mechanical parts, electrical shock risk, and loud noise.
