Salary Range: $50,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Lansing that are seeking skilled Fabrication Leads. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train fabrication team members on best practices and safety protocols.
• Oversee the scheduling and execution of fabrication projects to meet production deadlines.
• Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate material cutting and assembly.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures for all fabricated components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to fabrication processes and equipment.
• Manage inventory of raw materials and consumables required for fabrication operations.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize product manufacturability.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of various fabrication techniques, including welding (MIG, TIG, STICK), cutting (plasma, laser, saw), forming (bending, rolling), and finishing processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and mentor a team of skilled fabricators.
• Experience with quality control procedures and ensuring products meet specified tolerances and standards.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
