Supervisor Production - 2nd Shift

United States - MI - Harrison Township

Supervisory Capacity:
Direct Reports: 20+

• Plan and schedule personnel in cooperation with the Production Manager (i.e. vacation, temporary workers, overtime work)
• Provide production expectations and quality feedback to team members in daily start up meeting
• Monitor daily established production requirements throughout the shift to ensure customer requirements and plant objectives are met while ensuring HSE and 5S policies and standards are followed
• Train and monitor employee performance to ensure operator is certified and operator training matrix is updated and meeting departmental targets
• Compile KPI data and populate end of shift report. Distribute to manager and appropriate operations and support personnel
• Ensure job training and daily job rotations are in place and enforced
• Monitor quality of product throughout the production process
• Participates in Team Leader meetings and Quality initiatives
• Daily review of process and people to identify and implement CI opportunities

Required Qualifications:

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent

Experience | Skills | Knowledge:

• 3-5 Minimum Years of Experience with Production with at least 2 years in a Supervisor role
• 1-3 Minimum Years of Supervisor Experience with in the automotive industry
• Justin Time (JIT) environment experience
• Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces
• Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
• Proficient organizational skills
• Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
