Job Purpose:

- The Loader/Machine Operator at Ray Wiegand's Nursery is responsible for efficiently managing the movement and handling of nursery stock and materials. This role is crucial in ensuring that products are accurately prepared for delivery, safely loaded and unloaded, and properly maintained within the warehouse, contributing to the overall operational success of the nursery.

Key Responsibilities:

- Pull nursery stock for delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.  - Load bulk material for customers, maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency.  - Unload large nursery supplies and hardgoods from trucks, ensuring careful handling.  - Maintain the general upkeep of the warehouse, ensuring a clean and organized environment.  - Stock new hardgoods and plant material, facilitating smooth inventory management.  - Assist other departments when needed, providing support to enhance overall operations.  

- Maintain proper safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.## Qualifications Required

Education:

- High school diploma or equivalent

Required Experience:

- Experience in operating machinery such as loaders and forklifts  - Previous experience in a warehouse or nursery setting is preferred  - Familiarity with nursery stock, bulk materials, and hardgoods handling    Required

Skills and Abilities:

- Valid driver's license  - Ability to safely operate and maintain machinery and equipment  - Strong organizational skills for maintaining warehouse order and inventory  - Ability to follow safety protocols and guidelines  - Capability to work collaboratively with other departments and team members  - Physical ability to handle the lifting and moving of heavy materials and stock
