Snag Grinder 2nd Shift

Job Description

• Performs snag grinding, general laborer, and housekeeping tasks in assigned production area through adherence to safe and efficient methods.
• Performs general tasks such as cleaning, preparation, and transport of materials or supplies in compliance with preventative/predictive schedules.
• Must be able to calibrate and use a variety of measuring devices.
• Achieves production, quality and safety standards by observing equipment operating conditions and making adjustments to maximize output.
• Notifies appropriate personnel (Supervisor) of problems beyond the scope of responsibility of the position.
• Assists assigned team members with general pre‑production and post‑production tasks while meeting quality standards.
• Keeps accurate time and production records.
• Maintains supply stock, inventory counts, and material lists as necessary.
• Responds to the ever‑changing demands of the production department while maintaining a service‑oriented and helpful demeanor to vendors, customers, co‑workers and outside sales representatives.
• Expedites the prompt resolution of employee, vendor and customer problems, questions, concerns, and discrepancies, and notifies appropriate personnel of situations beyond the scope of responsibility level, including all feedback from customers.
• Participates in a wide variety of special projects.
• Communicates with co‑workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
• Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.

This job operates in a manufacturing shop environment with direct and frequent exposure to outside weather elements. Exposure to noise, chemicals, and materials consistent with a manufacturing environment is constant. This position is physically demanding; it requires the physical strength to lift materials up to 75 pounds, endure prolonged standing, twisting and bending, stepping up and down, maintain dexterity, and stamina.

This is a full‑time position assigned to either a day or evening shift. Overtime work may be required as job duties demand.

• High School diploma or equivalent GED

• 2‑3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Must submit pre‑employment drug screen and background check authorization.
