The Manufacturing Manager – Lateral Flow Chemistry Production supervises employees who operate equipment used to manufacture products and maintains inventory records of raw materials used in batch manufacturing. The role ensures accurate batch records, oversees in‑process tests such as hardness, weight, variation, pH and moisture content to meet specifications, and resolves equipment and product problems. This role provides manufacturing leadership for all activities related to the production of chemical and protein reagents for Lateral Flow Diagnostics, ensuring consistent execution, workforce stability, and operational discipline while balancing throughput, quality requirements and resource constraints.
Key Responsibilities- Own manufacturing execution for Lateral Flow operations across safety, quality and delivery.
- Lead Manufacturing Supervisors and Team Leads through clear prioritization and performance management.
- Ensure adherence to standard work, batch records and controlled processes.
- Partner with Quality, Engineering, Planning and Supply Chain to address constraints and resolve issues.
- Drive KPI performance including scrap, rework, schedule adherence and labor efficiency.
- Support training effectiveness and onboarding for technical manufacturing roles.
- Identify operational risks early and lead corrective actions.
- Maintain inspection and audit readiness across assigned areas.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives that improve stability and reduce complexity.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in regulated or GMP‑like environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, biology, chemistry, operations management or a related technical field is required.
- Experience leading supervisors and managing multiple production areas.
- Working knowledge of production control, batch manufacturing and quality systems.
- Proven ability to lead through change, including startup or transition activities.
- Clear, practical communicator with strong follow‑through.
