Quickparts is hiring a CNC Operator
-Set-up to install, adjust, and program our milling operations. This is a highly active role where you will be deeply embedded in our operations—programming mills, troubleshooting processes, and maintaining safe, high-quality production standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You will own the setup of mills, personally drive the programming with Power Mill Software, and be the driving force behind precision machining that supports our complex manufacturing network.

Our CNC operations are critical to maintaining exact specifications, quality assurance, and safe production. As a CNC Operator-Set-up, you will:
Program and set up mills for precision manufacturing
Maintain strict specifications through observation and troubleshooting
Ensure quality assurance procedures and ISO 9001 standards are met
Serve as a detail-oriented problem solver on the production floor
Maintain safe, clean operations by adhering to all regulations
What You’ll Do
- Program mills by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, using Power Mill Software
- Set tool registers, offsets, tool compensation, and conditional switches by calculating requirements using basic math and geometry
- Set up mills by installing and adjusting tools, attachments, collets, bushings, stops, and indicating vices
- Maintain specifications by observing drilling, cutting, and facing operations
- Take measurements, detect malfunctions, and troubleshoot processes in real-time
- Adjust and reprogram controls, replace worn tools, and set tool heights
- Maintain safe and clean operations by observing all safety standards, rules, and wearing required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
- Adhere to quality assurance procedures and ISO 9001 standards
- Perform various other duties as required by the department manager
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required (Technical school or equivalent preferred)
- At least 2 years of experience with CNC set-up and programming
- HURCO and DMG-Mori CNC Operator experience is preferred
- Power Mill software experience is a plus
- CNC and Plastic injection molding knowledge and experience
- Strong mechanical ability, blueprint reading skills, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to calculate speeds, feeds, and perform machine offsets
- Knowledge of ISO 9001
- Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of employees
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Basic computer skills required to perform department-related tasks
- Physical ability to stand, stoop, and bend for a minimum of 8 hours per day
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate common manufacturing machinery and hand tools
- Ability to visually read work instructions, gages, and monitors
- Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds
