Summary
Night Shift The primary responsibility of this role will be to operate and maintain tufting machines to create high‑quality graphics on artificial turf products. The Graphics Tufting Operator will be responsible for setting up machines, selecting appropriate materials, adjusting settings, and monitoring the production process to ensure accurate and precise graphic designs.
Responsibilities- Operate tufting machines to create graphics on artificial turf according to design specifications and customer requirements.
- Set up and prepare tufting machines for production runs, including loading appropriate materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure consistent and accurate tufting of graphic designs, adjusting as necessary.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet established standards and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment malfunctions or issues that may arise during the production process.
- Perform routine maintenance on tufting machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing mechanical wear parts such as needles and knives.
- Collaborate with the design team to understand the specific requirements and expectations for each graphic design project.
- Maintain accurate production records, including machine settings, production output, and any quality issues or concerns.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for material allocation and consumption.
- Perform or assist with backing coating processes, repair or quality assurance processes, backing removal and adjustment processes, and turf shearing process.
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervision and/or management.
Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. regularly. Ability to perform repetitive movements and remain on feet for extended periods of time.
Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required; or one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
