Receiving Clerk

Job Summary

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for all receiving, outsourcing, trucking, service, and internal inventory needs.

Receiving

• Efficiently unload all incoming trucks
• Maintain warehouse organization
• Record all raw material receivers

Outsourcing

• Control product flow to and from outsource suppliers
• Monitor inventory levels and process releases
• Process shippers/receivers for all transactions
• Communicate with suppliers (expedites, production status, work schedule, etc.)
• Schedule internal and external shipments/pick‑ups with outsource suppliers
• Schedule, monitor, and track miscellaneous material and supply pick‑ups using J.G. Kern trucking
• Monitor customer releases, inventory, and production to meet customer needs
• Monitor casting and component inventory to be aware of potential issues
• Complete monthly counts for components

• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and logistics operations
• Close attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to problem solve
• Ability to analyze and report data
• Ability to work as a team across departments and push accountability
• Ability to work in a flexible fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment

• 3-5 years’ experience in logistics/shipping/receiving in a manufacturing environment
