Responsibilities
- Follow OSHA, MIOSHA, and company safety standards.
- Build and manufacture quality blow molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and sub-assemblies using various tools and equipment.
- Perform maintenance and repair of building and installed equipment as assigned.
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineering, and production personnel to resolve manufacturing problems and report material shortages.
- Operate power equipment and material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes.
- Interpret blueprints, develop specifications, and create sketches of parts or products to be manufactured.
- Submit daily time accounting, payroll information, and other required paperwork.
- Assist in training employees and coordinate with supervisors on scheduling and project assignments.
- Perform tasks with minimal supervisory assistance, demonstrating proficiency in using precision measuring equipment and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Essential Skills
- 4 years+ of job-related experience in machine building or as an electrician.
- Experience with large assemblies and industrial machines.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in metric and inch systems.
- Basic electrical knowledge and computer skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Job Type & Location
This is a permanent position based out of Lansing, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $68640.00/yr. Full medical, dental, vision, life, short and long term disability, tuition assistance, paid holidays, competitive vacation package, 401 (K) with company match and profit sharing, increases tied to performance, and a path for continued training and development.
