Stre Designs, based in Cannonsburg, MI, is a precision machining studio dedicated to high-visual component manufacturing, prototyping, and small-batch production. With expertise in advanced CNC technology, including vertical 4-axis mills and multi axis turning machines, we produces high-quality components in materials such as aluminum, brass, steel, stainless steel, and plastics. Role Description

This is a full time role for a CNC Machinist, and it requires on-site work at the Stre Designs facility in Cannonsburg, MI. The Machinist will program, run and setup CNC machines and perform tasks such as deburing, parts finishing, conduct quality checks, maintain equipment, and reading blueprints. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with team members to meet production goals and helping ensure high standards of precision and craftsmanship in line with the company's ethos.

What you will work with

  • Haas and DN Solutions CNC mills/lathes
  • High-visual aluminum, brass, steel, plastic and stainless parts
  • Prototypes, small batches, and custom production runs
  • CAD Modeling

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of machining (this is not an entry level position)
  • 2+ years of CNC programming and set up
  • Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machines and using related tools and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Basic understanding of materials such as aluminum, steel, brass, and plastics
  • Experience with quality inspection tools and techniques to ensure precision manufacturing
  • Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Ability to work on-site in a hands-on, collaborative environment
  • Background in manufacturing, machining, or a related technical field is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred
  • Must be able to pass drug and background check
