Job Description

Are you looking for a career in the manufacturing industry? Our client, a world-class supplier of Precision machined components for the Auto industry and many others is looking for new team members. This is a local Lapeer-based company seeking Hydromat Machine Operators. 1st and 2nd Shift available, Mon-Sat, pay is $15+ based upon experience. 2nd Shift candidates will train on 1st shift.

Job Description:

Operation of a rotary transfer machine is an asset. Previous machine experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment is preferred. This position requires mechanical aptitude and ability to do math, measurements and use of precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers). Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be looking for long‑term work. Ideal candidates would have 1 or 2 of the following experiences and qualifications:

Hydromat experience
Screw machine experience
Multi spindle machining experience
CNC mill or CNC lathe experience
Manual machining experience
Print Reading
Skilled with using calipers, mics (OD,), indicators

Job Responsibilities Requirements:

Measure dimensions of finished work to ensure specifications are met.

Loads aluminium bars on bar feeder and load into machine.

Clear chips from machining areas and sift hoppers.

High level of quality control.

Must have excellent attendance.

Must have some long‑term previous work history.

Must be able to work overtime.

Must be able to stand at workstations for 10‑12 hours if necessary.

Some lifting may be required.
