Warehouse Worker / Onsite Technician

This role combines hands-on warehouse work with onsite technician responsibilities in a busy industrial facility. You will handle waste and recyclable materials, operate mobile equipment, and support daily plant operations while following strict safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities
  • Make regular waste and trash pickups throughout the customer's facility, including cardboard, plastic, and metal scraps.
  • Operate mobile equipment safely and efficiently to support material movement and waste handling.
  • Move, transport, and empty trash gondolas throughout the plant in a timely and orderly manner.
  • Support packing, picking, packaging, production, and assembly tasks as needed to maintain workflow.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including loading, unloading, and staging materials.
  • Handle materials safely, including hazardous material, in accordance with training and established procedures.
  • Follow all safety policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to OSHA-related guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and promptly report any safety hazards or equipment issues.
  • Work a consistent 1st shift schedule and adjust to occasional Saturday work as required by operational needs.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient operations and meet daily productivity goals.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in warehouse or industrial environments performing tasks such as packing, production, picking, packaging, material handling, assembly, and shipping and receiving.
  • Ability to safely operate mobile equipment after training is provided.
  • Capability to handle waste and recyclable materials, including cardboard, plastic, and metal scraps, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Comfort working around hazardous material with appropriate training and guidance.
  • Willingness and ability to work 1st shift (6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturday work as required.
  • Ability to wear and use required personal protective equipment, including safety boots.
  • Strong attention to safety, reliability, and following standard operating procedures in a busy, noisy environment.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Forklift experience preferred; training will be provided if necessary.
  • OSHA 40 training (Hazwoper) preferred; training will be provided if necessary.
  • Experience working with hazardous materials or in environments requiring Hazwoper training is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in high-volume manufacturing or automotive-related facilities is beneficial.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support multiple warehouse and production tasks as needed.

Environment

This position is based onsite at a large industrial manufacturing facility operating on a 1st shift schedule from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. You will typically work Monday through Friday, with a rotating schedule of two Saturdays on and one Saturday off for the remainder of the year; when Saturday work is required, you will receive another day off during the week or be compensated accordingly if working Monday through Saturday.

The facility is busy and noisy, with frequent equipment and material movement, and requires consistent attention to safety procedures. You will work around mobile equipment, trash gondolas, and various types of materials, including hazardous materials, and will use personal protective equipment provided by the employer. Safety boots (steel-toe or composite) are required as part of the dress code, while additional PPE will be supplied to support safe work in this high-activity environment.
