The Bay Family of Companies is growing, and we're looking for a Machine Operator to join our team at our new Lansing, Michigan location.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a new operation and play an important role in building a safe, efficient, and successful production team. As a Machine Operator, you'll operate and set up production equipment, maintain quality standards, keep materials moving efficiently, and help ensure our customers receive their orders accurately and on time.

As a Machine Operator, you'll be an important part of our manufacturing team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Safely set up and operate laminators and band saws
- Complete daily equipment safety inspections and scheduled preventative maintenance
- Adjust machine settings to meet production and customer specifications
- Perform quality and compliance checks throughout production
- Track production, waste, downtime, and material usage accurately
Stage materials to keep production running smoothly - Assist with loading, unloading, packaging, and shipping as needed
- Maintain accurate inventory and production records
- Help ensure finished products are properly labeled, stored, and prepared for shipment
- Keep the production area clean, organized, and safe
- Work closely with General Laborers and other team members to maintain an efficient workflow
- Follow all safety procedures and promptly communicate equipment or workplace concerns
We're looking for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, detail-oriented, and takes pride in doing quality work.
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent
- Manufacturing, warehouse, or material-handling experience preferred
- Forklift certification or ability to become certified
- Ability to read and follow work instructions
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain active throughout the shift
- Previous experience with fiberglass insulation or manufacturing is a plus, but not required
