Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in Lenawee County, MI. The Sales, Advertising and Marketing Specialist develops and manages advertising campaigns for local and regional clients, including identifying prospects and presenting tailored radio and digital advertising solutions. Daily responsibilities include building and maintaining client relationships, preparing proposals, negotiating rates, and ensuring accurate scheduling and delivery of ads. The role also involves collaborating with on-air and production teams to create effective commercial content, monitoring campaign performance, and providing ongoing client support.

The specialist participates in station events, promotions, and community outreach to increase brand awareness and generate new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and effective presentation abilities.
• Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with a focus on relationship-building, responsiveness, and client retention.
• Proven Sales skills, including prospecting, consultative selling, and closing new and repeat business.
• Basic understanding of advertising and marketing principles, preferably in broadcasting, media, digital and related fields.
• Ability to work on-site, manage multiple accounts, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with standard office software and CRM tools; comfort learning station-specific systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in marketing, communications, or business is a plus.
• Previous experience in media sales, advertising, or marketing is preferred but not mandatory.
