Regional Sales and Marketing Director - Michigan About Members Mobile
Members Mobile is a mobile service built for the credit union ecosystem. We combine nationwide wireless service, member rewards, smartphone access, and credit union-integrated experiences to help credit unions deepen engagement, attract new members, and deliver more value to the communities they serve.
Our mission is to deliver financial confidence and wireless freedom for millions of credit union members across the United States. Our vision is to become the premier engagement and acquisition platform for credit unions by connecting mobile service, rewards, financial products, and data-driven member insights.
Role SummaryThe Regional Sales and Marketing Director owns subscriber growth across an assigned Michigan geography. Greater Lansing is the primary market and our founding-partner market with MSUFCU. The role also carries secondary-market responsibility elsewhere in Michigan and support for additional credit union partnerships as they come online. You will build a local acquisition engine using credit union branches, employers and SEGs, campus and community relationships, brand ambassadors, events, hyperlocal marketing, and the Mobile Marketing Digital Vehicle (MMDV), our branded mobile retail unit that brings the Members Mobile experience directly to campuses, branches, employer sites, and community events.
This is not primarily a field-marketing or event-management job. You own the number and operate like the general manager of the geography, converting credit union member trust into activated wireless lines and using CRM and attribution data to improve conversion and cost per gross add. What you prove in Greater Lansing becomes the model you carry into secondary markets and new partner communities.
WhatYou’ll Own
- The acquisition plan and its performance across your geography, including activations, qualified leads, conversion, and CPGA. Greater Lansing is the primary market and first proof point.
- Local credit union partner relationships, starting with MSUFCU and extending to additional Michigan partners, including branch champion programs that generate consistent referral flow.
- MMDV routing, the event calendar, and activation opportunities across campus, branch, employer, and community locations.
- Recruiting, training, coaching, and managing a team of 10 to 20 brand ambassadors and field resources.
- Employer, SEG, campus, and community partnership development, plus secondary-market development as coverage expands.
- Lead capture, unique QR codes, source attribution, CRM hygiene, and weekly pipeline reporting.
- Build and execute a 30, 60, and 90-day Greater Lansing activation plan that starts from the MSUFCU member base and branch network rather than from paid media, then adapt it for secondary markets.
- Turn credit union leaders, employers, campus organizations, and community partners into an ecosystem that consistently creates acquisition opportunities.
- Orchestrate 10 to 20 or more events and activations in a busy month from branch and community events, through partners, ambassadors, and the MMDV, without personally staffing every single one of them.
- Move quickly around MSU and community moments: move-in, Welcome Week, football and basketball seasons, Homecoming, Family Weekend, and graduation.
- Manage a measurable funnel in CRM. Respond fast to high-intent leads, track attribution, and capture why prospects do not convert.
- Test lower-cost acquisition ideas such as referral programs, student ambassadors, employer programs, and branch handoffs. Stop what does not work and expand what does.
- Strengthen every credit union relationship you touch, and protect member trust, approved messaging, and partner brand standards.
- 5 to 8 years of progressively responsible experience in sales, territory management, field execution, multi-unit operations, or local business development.
- A track record of owning a quota, territory, location, market, or P&L, and hitting it.
- CRM and funnel discipline. You can walk through how you manage leads from first contact through close, and name the metrics you review weekly.
- People leadership experience. You have recruited, coached, and held a team accountable, and can point to the performance lift you drove.
- An entrepreneurial, high-energy operating style. You build the plan, work without a large corporate infrastructure, and keep momentum when a tactic does not work.
- Sound judgment around member information,…
