Helping Our Adolescents Prosper Capacity Building Project

Helping Our Adolescents Prosper (HOAP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating, empowering, and nurturing underserved youth, adolescents, young mothers, and families as they work toward economic stability and long-term self‑sufficiency. Through programs focused on housing stability, parenting education, workforce development, financial empowerment, transportation, and supportive services, HOAP removes barriers that contribute to generational poverty while equipping participants with the tools and resources needed to thrive.

Duties

The Ameri Corps VISTA member will develop sustainable systems that strengthen participant engagement, community partnerships, and resource coordination across HOAP's programs. Responsibilities include creating participant engagement and retention tools, developing community resource guides and referral networks, strengthening partnerships with community organizations, designing data collection and outcome tracking systems, and creating processes that improve program effectiveness and long‑term sustainability. The member will collaborate with HOAP staff and community partners to build organizational capacity, expand access to supportive resources, and enhance services that help underserved youth, young mothers, and families achieve greater economic stability and self‑sufficiency.
