Pastor - First Congregational Church; Otsego, MI

First Congregational Church of Otsego, Michigan is seeking a new Senior Pastor as our beloved Pastor Lenny Luchetti prepares to retire after many years of faithful ministry. Our congregation has grown under his leadership and we are excited to welcome a new shepherd to continue that work. We are affiliated with the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference (4C's).

Minister will provide pastoral leadership as follows:

• Lead worship services, preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and administer the Ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper.
• Call on members in times of sickness and sorrow. Do general visitation.
• Meet with prospective new members and provide counseling or classes as required in the new member decision process of this church.
• Officiate at weddings and funerals and provide counseling as needed.
• Work with church administrative assistant in preparing bulletins, newsletters, and other church correspondence.
• Develop and empower the church leadership and small groups to provide spiritual education and direction to the church body.
• Work with church teams and committees to assist them in carrying out their assigned tasks, having the freedom of voice and counsel, and without vote.
• Perform administrative duties related to office, staff, and property as necessary.
• Participate in Leadership Council meetings monthly, or as directed.
• Provide a summary report of church related activities to the Chairperson of the Leadership Council on a quarterly basis.
• Maintain church office hours, establishing a regular schedule that includes a minimum of 12 hours per week for the congregants to meet with pastor without needing an appointment.
• Interact with the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference (4C's) and network with local churches.
• Abide by and minister according to the Church Bylaws and the 4C's Code of Ethics for Churches.

We are looking for a called, qualified minister who is committed to biblical preaching, pastoral care, and building up the body of Christ. Experience in congregational leadership is preferred.

Beginning salary range of $70,000-$80,000, commensurate with experience.

First Congregational Church is located in Otsego, Michigan, a welcoming small town in Allegan County. The congregation currently has 83 members, 38 inactive members, and 3 shut-ins, and has grown under the outgoing pastor's leadership.
