Part Time Home Care Nurse (LPN or RN)

Bright Star Care of East Lansing is looking for Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses to join our home care team on a part time/per diem basis.

The Home Care Nurses are responsible for ensuring that care is delivered appropriately and the standards of quality are adhered to. We are seeking enthusiastic members who are caring, compassionate, and cheerful. We offer visits ranging from short client skilled visits to catastrophic care shifts up to 12 hours.

• Competitive pay starting at $28 per hour for LPNs and $32 per hour for RNs

• Provide care based on individualized Plan of Care
• Inform the Director of Nursing and other appropriate personnel of changes in the client’s conditions and needs
• Provide counseling to clients and families through the care process while updating them regularly
• Maintain proper clinical records in compliance with local, state, and federal laws
• Participate in agency performance improvement activities and stay informed about changes in the field of nursing and home health care

• Current unrestricted RN or LPN license in the state where care is being provided
• Minimum one (1) year of documented experience in a home health agency, primary care clinic, or health facility (preferred)
• Reliable car and auto insurance
• Clean background and criminal record check
• Understanding of regulatory compliance with state and federal regulations
• Adherence to HIPAA and maintenance of client confidentiality
