Position Overview
Full‑time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – 12‑hour day shifts (7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.) at GSS ND Larimore Center. Salary $26+ per hour with a $25,000 sign‑on bonus ($12,500 paid after 60 days). Includes every other weekend and holiday rotation with differential pay for weekends. Eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits.
Job Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long‑term care under the supervision of an RN, advanced practice provider, or physician.
- Assess residents, administer medications or treatments as ordered, and document resident interactions and outcomes including medication, behavior, activity, and dietary data.
- Contribute to resident care plans and evaluate data reflective of the resident’s status by performing necessary testing.
- Ensure the health, comfort and safety of residents.
- Collaboration:
work effectively with interdisciplinary care team members, healthcare providers, family members, and the public. - Provide counseling and education to residents, families, or advocates on prevention and treatment plans.
- Offer technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as an LPN; associate degree preferred.
- Current, unencumbered LPN license with the State Nursing Board and/or multi‑state licensure privileges.
- Minimum of 400 hours of LPN clinical experience or supervised clinical experience across the lifespan if pre‑licensure program does not meet this requirement.
- Completed annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training required by the department and facility.
- For positions requiring IV therapy/management, graduation from a North Dakota Board‑approved AASPN program with IV therapy in the curriculum or completion of an approved IV therapy course.
