REGISTERED NURSE - RAPID RESPONSE TEAM - 24 HOURS WEEKLY - MIDNIGHT SHIFT

GENERAL

SUMMARY:

Schedule:

Nights, Two 12‑hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Rotating every other weekend and holiday

Act as the hospital resource to the Cardiac Catheterization lab, Intensive Care units, and general practice units. Goals of this position include cross‑training in the cardiac catheterization lab and the Medical Intensive Care unit to be proficient in caring for patients undergoing emergent cardiac catheterization and post‑catheterization care in the MICU. The RN will be responsible for assisting with and operating equipment in the Cardiac Catheterization lab from start to finish of the catheterization and transitioning the patient’s care to the MICU.

Care of emergent cardiac catheterization patients is the number one priority. When not caring for cardiac catheterization patients, responsibilities include responding to Rapid Response calls and Code Blue calls. When available, duties also include assisting in the transport of critical care patients from the ED to the ICUs or GPS to ICUs, accompanying ICU patients off the unit to tests/procedures, assisting with difficult IV starts/blood draws, assisting with admissions in all IPD areas, and assisting with ICU bedside procedures.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Interventional Cardiac Catheterization experience, preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience, required.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES

REQUIRED:

• Current State of Michigan License is required.

Current BLS and ACLS certification, required.
