Registered Nurse – RN First Assistant (RNFA)

Job Summary: Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse First Assistant for a 13‑week contract assignment in Lansing. The role involves advanced surgical assistance in the operating room, working closely with surgeons and the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The candidate will contribute to comprehensive patient care from pre‑operative preparation through post‑operative closure.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures, including tissue handling, exposure, instrument handling, suturing, and other surgical tasks.
- Provide direct patient care in the operating room, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to all aseptic techniques and protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, scrub technologists, and other members of the surgical team.
- Participate in pre‑operative patient assessment and post‑operative care planning as required.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA).
- Current RN First Assistant (RNFA) certification.
