- End Date/Duration: 07/01/2027 (approximately 9 weeks of coverage, with preferred continuous blocks)
- Shift: Day Shift: 10 hours;
Night Shift: 14 hours (home call, must arrive within 30 mins) - Hours/Week: Variable based on shift schedule
- Employment Type: Locum contract
- License/Certifications: Board Certified in Neonatology; active Michigan medical license preferred
- Experience: Prior NICU experience required, including high-risk delivery and C-section attendances
- Hourly Rate: $312.00/hour
- Holiday Rate: 1.5x hourly rate
- Reimbursements: Hotel, mileage (IRS standard), flights, licensure, certification, travel, and other applicable reimbursements

- Provide neonatology consults and care for neonatal patients in a Level III NICU and Special Care Nursery
- Attend high-risk deliveries and perform C-section coverage
- Manage ventilation including BiPAP, CPAP, and oscillator support
- Administer nitric oxide (iNO) therapy
- Perform neonatal procedures such as chest tube insertion, arterial and central line placements, UVC/UAC, PICC insertions
- Manage emergency resuscitations and neonatal stabilization
- Document all patient care accurately in EPIC EMR
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, therapists, dietitians, and nurse practitioners
Required:
- Board Certified in Neonatology
- Active medical license in Michigan (or eligible for licensing)
- Experience in Level III NICU settings
- Proficiency in neonatal procedures and ventilator management
- Ability to arrive within 30 minutes for on-call shifts
- Experience managing high-acuity neonatal patients and high-risk deliveries
- Experience supervising NNPs or neonatal fellows
