Overview

Lead RN – Full time, Day Shift

The Lead RN assists the Practice Leader or Practice Manager with oversight of day‑to‑day clinic operations. This role organizes and directs activities within the work unit, including assigning and monitoring the work of others, while following established procedures. The Lead RN is an effective communicator who can assess situations, exercise discretion and sound judgment, and act in the best interest of patients and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Practice Leader or Manager with daily clinic operations.
  • Organize and coordinate work unit activities to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Assign, monitor, and support staff work performance.
  • Serve as a clinical and operational resource for team members.
  • Promote patient‑centered care and excellent customer service.
  • Follow established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Education & Experience
  • Minimum:
    Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Preferred:
    Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum:
    Two (2) years of experience in a medical office setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience required.
Licensing & Credentials
  • Required:

    Unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan.
  • For ADN holders in Grand Rapids: must enroll in BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete within 4 years of hire.
  • New graduates must apply to the RN residency program (offered three times a year in February, July, and October). One year of RN experience is required for new graduates applying directly.
