How you'll contribute- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate childbirth education programs in accordance with established standards of care, utilizing strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and clinical skills.
- Provide education and support to expectant parents and families, promoting informed decision-making and positive birth experiences.
- Demonstrate excellent teaching, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences.
- Understand and respond to the cultural, physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of childbirth, lactation, and parenting.
- Present information confidently and effectively in both group and individual settings.
- Utilize sound clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills while working independently and collaboratively.
- Maintain composure and effectiveness in a fast-paced, potentially stressful environment and take appropriate action when needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
- Previous experience in OB and Childbirth Education
- Childbirth Educator Certification (preferred)
- Annual influenza vaccination or declination
