This position offers a $2,000 (1 year stay-on agreement) or 4,000 (2 year stay-on agreement) Sign On Bonus with the agency!
This bonus will be provided upon completion of a probationary period.

Responsibilities- Under the supervision of a Supervisor/Coordinator, serves as a staff nurse, performing a variety of duties within Older Adult Services (OAS).
- May be responsible for the orderly administration and maintenance of medication which involves administering prescribed drugs.
- Participates in interdisciplinary planning of care and treatment ensuring the coordination of medical services to consumers served by the program.
- May render general nursing care and provide medical support in accordance with approved nursing practices.
- Coordinates referrals from case managers requesting consultation with physicians, providing nursing consultation regarding consumers to case managers.
- Providing information and assistance specific to the area of assignment.
- Performing admissions screening on new consumers.
- Serving as agency liaison.
- Performing crisis intervention activities.
- Providing case management.
- Providing patient education.
- Providing above services on an outreach basis as indicated.
- Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.
- Possession of an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
- Possession of a State of Michigan license as a Registered Nurse required.
- One year experience (professional or paraprofessional) in treating or working with a person who has a mental illness required.
- Must demonstrate competent computer skills in data base programs and word processing.
- Possession of a valid MI Driver’s License required.
- Access to reliable means of transportation for job related use required.
- Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of:
Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, educational background check, and verification of an acceptable work history. - Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Salary/Hours$32.48 - $38.16 hourly. Monday-Thursday 8am-12pm, Friday 12:30pm-4:30pm.
