ResponsibilitiesAs Medical Lead Veterinarian, you will:
Lead, mentor, and support associate veterinarians through coaching and professional development
Conduct regular performance discussions and support individual career goals
Promote high standards of medical quality, patient care, and client service
Practice alongside the veterinary team while achieving personal production goals
Partner with the Practice Manager to support hospital performance and growth
Help develop and implement medical protocols and best practices
Lead doctor meetings focused on clinical standards, new services, and collaboration
Support mentorship and externship programmes
Encourage a culture of teamwork, learning, and retention
Represent the hospital within the local community through outreach and engagement
Ensure compliance with veterinary medical standards and regulatory requirements
The ideal candidate will be an experienced veterinarian with a passion for leadership, mentorship, and clinical excellence.
Candidates should have:
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
Active Michigan veterinary licence in good standing
Minimum of 2 years of clinical veterinary experience
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
