Lead Quality for a Growing Precision Manufacturing Operation
Our client is a well-established, financially strong manufacturing company seeking a hands‑on Quality Manager to lead all aspects of quality systems, customer quality, and continuous improvement.
This is a highly visible leadership role that will play a critical part in the company's upcoming IATF 16949 audit and ongoing commitment to operational excellence. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact while partnering closely with executive leadership, operations, engineering, and customers.
What You'll Do- Lead and maintain the company's Quality Management System
- Serve as the primary leader for upcoming IATF 16949 audits
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, scrap reduction, and customer satisfaction
- Manage customer quality concerns, corrective actions, and root cause investigations
- Lead internal audits, supplier quality activities, and compliance initiatives
- Develop and mentor quality engineers, technicians, and inspectors
- Ensure APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plans, and related quality tools are effectively utilized
- Partner with operations and engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes and product quality
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Proven experience as a Quality Manager or Senior Quality Leader in a manufacturing environment
- Strong IATF 16949 audit leadership experience is required
- Experience successfully preparing for and leading external audits
- Deep understanding of Core Quality Tools:
- APQP
- PPAP
- FMEA
- SPC
- MSA
- Control Plans
- Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Metals, machining, welding, or related manufacturing experience highly desired
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer‑facing skills
- Visible leadership role reporting directly to senior management
