Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Quality Engineering
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure products and processes meet engineering and customer requirements by applying configuration verification and internal audits.
- Review engineering documentation, quality procedures, and test plans.
- Collect and present quality metrics on key process indicators.
- Provide on‑site quality support to both internal and external customers.
- Establish and maintain quality procedures and manuals for AS9100, regulatory entities, and FAA FAR Part 145 requirements.
- Serve as focal point for engineering, customer service support, and operations to investigate and resolve quality issues.
- Perform product, process, and system audits and verify root‑cause analysis and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions taken.
- Review and update technical data changes as needed.
- Review product first articles and PFMEAs.
- Collect and analyze data to identify adverse trends and improvement opportunities.
- Participate on cross‑functional team projects to improve the overall organization and develop a career path and leadership.
- Be willing to receive cross‑training on other QA department responsibilities as needed.
- Monitor the quality management system in accordance with AS9100 and other regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or an equivalent field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Minimum 2 years of aerospace quality assurance experience.
- Familiarity and comprehension of quality management system standards.
- Experience reviewing engineering documentation and technical writing skills.
- Knowledge of document control and calibration systems.
- Familiarity with FAA Part 145 regulations.
- U.S. citizenship required due to government contracts.
- Master of Science in Engineering with at least 2 years of aerospace quality assurance experience.
- Licensed A&P preferred.
- Background in aviation preferred.
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently, flexible, and able to work under pressure.
Salary range: $86,800 - $165,200 USD.
