Job Description
Seeking an experienced Escrow Processor & Closer to join our title company team in Fenton, Michigan. This is a full-time, 100% onsite position for a detail-oriented professional with 3-5 years of experience in the title industry.
The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in the title and closing process, organized, dependable, and comfortable managing transactions from processing through closing while providing excellent service to clients, lenders, real estate professionals, and other parties to the transaction.
Responsibilities
- Process residential real estate transactions from title commitment through closing
- Review title commitments, purchase agreements, lender requirements, and closing documents
- Coordinate with buyers, sellers, lenders, real estate agents, attorneys, and other transaction parties
- Prepare and review settlement statements and closing disclosures
- Schedule and conduct real estate closings
- Ensure all required documents and funds are received and properly documented
- Review documents for accuracy and compliance with company and lender requirements
- Resolve title, escrow, and closing issues in a timely manner
- Communicate transaction status and closing requirements to all parties
- Maintain accurate transaction files and records
- Handle payoff requests, tax information, recording requirements, and other closing-related items
- Follow company procedures and applicable title and escrow regulations
- Provide professional and responsive customer service throughout the transaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience processing and/or closing residential real estate transactions
- Strong understanding of title, escrow, and real estate closing procedures
- Ability to review and understand title commitments and closing documentation
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
- Proficiency with standard office and computer applications
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team
