Build your book without the big-shop baggage

You know how to find opportunities, earn trust, and get deals across the finish line. What if your firm gave you more leverage—and less friction?

Binswanger is looking for an experienced Industrial Real Estate Broker to grow our presence across Michigan. Since 1931, we have advised owners and occupiers of industrial and manufacturing real estate across the country and around the world. Our relationships reach more than half of the Fortune 500, giving our brokers access, credibility, and a name that gets calls returned.

We do things differently here. There is no big-shop bureaucracy. We are an employee-owned, focused team where collaboration is real, support is centralized, and growth can build both commissions and equity.

Why brokers choose Binswanger
  • A name that opens doors. Our 95-year track record carries weight with industrial owners, occupiers, and decision-makers.
  • Enterprise access. More than half of the Fortune 500 are active Binswanger clients.
  • Better team economics. No unnecessary bureaucracy and no internal competition designed to dilute your split. Not to mention the fact that we offer above-market splits.
  • Credibility in the room. Our in-house Board of Experts includes former corporate real estate leaders from companies such as Intel, Amgen, and GM. When you pitch a manufacturer, you can bring someone who has actually run facilities like theirs.
  • More time to produce. Our centralized platform supports research, marketing, administration, and transaction execution so you can stay focused on clients and production.
What you'll do
  • Build and manage relationships with industrial owners, occupiers, investors, and corporate real estate decision-makers throughout Michigan and nationally.
  • Create opportunities through in-person prospecting, thoughtful outreach, referrals, and disciplined follow-up.
  • Advise clients on acquisitions, dispositions, tenant representation, site selection, and other industrial real estate strategies.
  • Develop deep market knowledge of Michigan’s industrial and manufacturing properties, companies, and decision-makers.
  • Prepare persuasive pitches, market analyses, property materials, and client recommendations with support from our centralized team.
  • Collaborate with brokers, researchers, marketing professionals, support staff, and members of our Board of Experts to win and execute assignments. What makes someone successful here
    • You are self-directed, persistent, and comfortable creating your own opportunities.
    • You are a confident communicator and an even better listener.
    • You enjoy research, understand the numbers behind a deal, and can turn information into a compelling point of view.
    • You build trust, protect confidentiality, and follow through on the details.
    • You like to win, stay resilient when the answer is no, and value a team that helps everyone compete more effectively.
    • You are motivated by performance and want a platform with meaningful earning and ownership potential.
    What you'll bring
    • Three or more years of demonstrated success in commercial real estate brokerage, industrial real estate, or a closely related consultative sales environment.
    • Strong business-development, relationship-management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Working knowledge of industrial and manufacturing real estate—or the curiosity and discipline to develop it quickly.
    • A bachelor's degree in business, real estate, or a related field is preferred.
    • Comfort using CRM tools and Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel.
    • The ability and willingness to travel regularly by car and work in office, property, and client environments.
    The rewards

This is a production-driven brokerage opportunity with significant earning potential, employee-ownership participation, and the support of a national industrial real estate platform. Benefits offered to eligible employees include:

    • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
    • FSA and HRA plans
    • Life insurance and AD&D coverage
    • 401(k)
    • Performance-based compensation and incentives
Ready for a platform that works as hard as you do?

If you have built the skills and relationships to succeed in industrial brokerage—and want fewer barriers, stronger resources, and a real stake in what you are building,we should talk.
