Position Overview
Location:
Gladwin Community Schools, 401 North Bowery Avenue, Gladwin, MI 48624. (Online applications only.)
Schedule:
Full time and part time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Schedules may vary based on position. More details upon interview.
Pay: $15.75 to $16.75 per hour.
Requirements:
Three years of prior cooking experience.
- Oversee cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Food Service Director.
- Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes.
- Operate and clean equipment after each use; perform scheduled routine cleaning.
- Store, label, and date food items according to policy; help maintain organized storage of dry goods, refrigerated, and frozen products.
- Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
- Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
- Assist Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and completing required documentation, reports, and logs.
- Assist in cross‑training employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Other InformationBecause this position requires services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease. Any such periods during which you do not perform work on the Company’s behalf will be unpaid and deemed a temporary layoff. Depending on business needs, you may be required to work year‑round, potentially at a different location during break periods.
