Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Customer Service Rep, Retail Support, Retail & Store Manager

This role requires an individual to work independently, display and stock products, and support the financial best interest of the store. The employee will also ensure a positive guest experience while maintaining safety and food‑safety standards.
Responsibilities- Process financial transactions accurately, including cash, checks, credit cards, food stamps, WIC, loyalty cards, gift certificates, bottle refunds, voids, and coupons in accordance with company policy.
- Assist in receiving, unloading, and stocking products in the required areas of the store.
- Perform front‑end duties such as operating the cash register, suggestive selling (e.g., lottery), enrolling guests in the loyalty program, and maintaining a clean and neat service area.
- Ensure correct use of product identification and PLUs; report pricing or signage errors.
- Maintain knowledge of current store programs and product locations, and assist in executing the department flight plan.
- Communicate company programs, in‑store specials, and coupons to customers, modeling high service standards.
- Comply with company policies on security, cash handling, product handling, sale of alcohol and tobacco, etc.
- Maintain a clean and well‑stocked department and outside grounds, adhering to safety and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with stocking items on the sales floor, cooler, and back room.
- Follow all PPE and safety guidelines.
- Follow all food‑safety and cleaning expectations.
- Follow guest experience guidelines.
- May be assigned tasks in other departments as needed to support customer experience.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as required.
High school diploma or GED (preferred). One year of prior retail or related experience preferred. Good verbal communication skills; ability to interact politely and effectively with customers. Good customer service and organizational skills; detail‑oriented. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
Physical RequirementsMay be required to lift or move up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must stand and walk for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently. Work environment includes varied temperatures, outdoor weather conditions, and low to moderate noise levels. Reasonable accommodations may be provided. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
