Job Overview
As the Team Captain of Off Field Operations, you will lead inventory, fulfilment, and stockroom execution to support overall store performance. You will ensure processes run efficiently, coach teammates, and maintain the store’s readiness for athlete needs.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by anticipating needs and providing clear, accurate product knowledge.
- Uphold merchandising and presentation standards by following floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment guidelines.
- Promote and lead company programs such as customer loyalty, warranty sales, private‑label credit card enrollment, and other company initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager (SM) and Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to develop 30‑60‑90‑day plans that support business priorities for assigned departments.
- Help devise operational, staffing, hiring, merchandising, and budgeting plans in line with established financial goals.
- Execute plans, make adjustments as needed, and analyze plan effectiveness throughout the duration.
- Act as Head Coach for overall store oversight when the sole leader, overseeing opening/closing procedures, front‑end and cash office functions, and teammate supervision.
- Communicate departmental goals and plans to direct reports, assign workload, and monitor progress against objectives.
- Develop schedules for direct reports and adjust them to meet athlete traffic demands while achieving operational and merchandising initiatives.
- Build and lead a strong, effective team, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retaining team members in areas of oversight.
- Ensure teammates are properly trained and provide coaching, feedback, development, recognition, and motivation throughout their lifecycle.
- Manage performance, conduct annual reviews and promotion recommendations, and hold teammates accountable for compliance with policies and procedures, including termination recommendations when necessary.
- Create a welcoming store environment where teammates and athletes feel respected and valued.
- Adhere to and enforce safety, loss‑prevention, and standard operating procedures, as well as all applicable laws and guidelines.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 1–3 years of retail or customer‑facing experience.
- Previous people‑leadership experience preferred.
