, to sell SailPoint’s Identity Security solutions.
- Exceed revenue quota goals on a quarterly and yearly basis.
- Effectively address each customer’s and partner’s unique inquiries by providing accurate information and tailored solutions that align with their specific needs and interests.
- Develop business plans, which align to your assigned territory.
- Strategically engage with customers and business partners to maintain a high level of customer service that aligns with SailPoint’s core values.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute marketing plans through partners and end users.
- Proactively pursue all leads supplied and keep internal systems updated.
- Lead the technical resources to demonstrate SailPoint’s advantages to the customer.
- Follow‑up with customers and post‑sale teams to ensure consistent and ongoing coverage of accounts, including new sales opportunities.
- Own and oversee all aspects of the sales cycle, including qualifying, presentations, demonstrations, RFP responses, negotiations, and the closing process.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the territory, including customers, prospects, partners, influencers, and competitors.
- Understand and communicate all product and technological strategies employed by competitive and complementary organizations in the SailPoint market space.
- Initiate, navigate, and manage discussions across all levels of a customer’s organization, from business stakeholders to technical decision‑makers.
- Use all channel management and reporting tools, including accurate forecasting and Salesforce hygiene.
- First month:
Establish an account plan, segment top 20 focused accounts and 3 big‑bet accounts, meet with former account managers, partner with existing accounts, collaborate with Marketing and Channel Managers. - Second month:
Create stakeholder map for key partners, maintain Salesforce hygiene, check in weekly with sales management. - Third month:
Complete territory plan and present to Sales Management; provide account overview, prioritize accounts, clean pipeline, develop marketing channel engagement plans, identify and present opportunities to extend value, lead operating cadence. - Fourth month:
Create account plans for key accounts, opportunity plans for key deals, present forecast for self‑generated opportunities, develop strategies to approach top 20 accounts, complete Salesforce relationship maps, demonstrate progress through sales stages for inbound/inherited opportunities, present SailPoint value proposition. - Sixth month:
Build a pipeline of 2–3 times target, progress existing pipeline, refine go‑to‑market messaging when competing with Microsoft and Okta, complete Leadership Badge on Highspot.
Preferred but not required:
Bachelor’s degree or global equivalent in IT, business, or sales related field.
Business travel of approximately 50 percent yearly is expected.

Benefits & CompensationBenefits vary based on location and nature of employment. Possible eligibility for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan, role‑specific commission, and equity participation. Salary range for U.S. employees: $109,200 – $156,000 – $202,800. Base salaries for employees in other locations are competitive for the home location.
