We’re looking for a motivated Outside Sales/Account Manager in Lansing, MI. This long‑term opportunity is in a family‑friendly organization. Candidates should have strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships to generate and grow sales. They should possess knowledge of product lines and pricing. A minimum of 2‑3 years in the wholesale electrical industry is expected;

This position is directly involved in all aspects of electrical sales and in the development of business proposals to potential and existing customers.

• Prospect for potential customers through various methods.
• Conduct product demonstrations, present technical information, and prepare sales proposals.
• Establish new and maintain existing relationships with variety of customers.
• Monitor market and competitor activities and adjust to a changing environment.
• Negotiate and close sales.
• Provide technical support.

No overnight travel.

• Minimum 2‑3 years of experience in sales of electrical products to the contractor market and in‑depth understanding of the construction business.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Electrical industry knowledge: 5 years preferred.
• Basic understanding of industrial, commercial and institutional markets for electrical products.
• Two‑year degree from a technical college; four‑year degree or equivalent progressive experience preferred.
