Position Summary

Finds business opportunities and manages customer relationships. Directly responsible for the preservation and expansion of customer base. Actively calls on and develops relationships with physicians, case managers, office managers, third party payers, and other referral sources in physician offices, hospitals and clinics within a designated territory. Educates referral sources on new services as well as changes that may impact their practice.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Works with marketing department and service line management to understand referral patterns, assists in the development of the marketing materials and marketing efforts.
  • Creates detailed business plans to facilitate the attainment of goals and quotas.
  • Develops relationships with physicians and their staff, hospital and ancillary services leadership, community businesses and others as appropriate to capture opportunities for increased business/services, satisfaction and efficiencies.
  • Manages the entire sales cycle from finding a client to securing a deal.
  • Unearths new sales opportunities through networking and turns them into long term partnerships.
  • Presents information on services to prospective clients/referral sources. Remains in frequent contact with clients/referral sources to understand their needs and identify opportunities for new and improved services.
Qualifications Required
  • Health care professional, such as RN, PT, MSW, or marketing degree with experience in at least one of the following:
    Home Care, Hospice, or DME.
  • Valid state driver’s license, and a driver’s record approved by the medical center’s insurance agent for those employees who drive a vehicle as a requirement for the job.
Preferred
  • Strong customer service and marketing background.
  • Experience in leadership roles.
Position/Subsidiary Specific
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of valid auto insurance, and maintain a driving record in accordance with McLaren’s corporate driving policy and eligibility guidelines.
